Stored and processed locally
Roster, workplace, client, visit and preference data is stored locally. Text recognition and import parsing run on-device. There is no RosterEase account to create, no advertising and no app analytics.
Your core plan and import processing do not need a RosterEase server. Optional online features, app distribution and purchases still use Apple services.
Optional sharing
You can share information through these features. Each destination has its own privacy settings.
- Shift Worker Calendar sync
- Writes schedule information to the calendar you select. Private shift notes are excluded unless you enable their inclusion. Your calendar provider and sharing settings determine who can see those events.
- Maps and travel estimates
- Use address or location text for directions or optional estimates. Client names and private notes are not included in those requests.
- Backup files
- You start an encrypted, passphrase-protected export and choose where it goes. RosterEase does not keep a backend copy. A file provider you choose has its own storage and retention rules.
- Support and diagnostics
- Diagnostics can be previewed locally and shared by you. Email support receives what you send. Redact examples before sharing them.
- Apple and TestFlight
- Apple handles distribution and purchases. TestFlight can provide the developer with crash reports, tester information and feedback under Apple's terms. Apple device backup is separate from a RosterEase export.

People working in health or community care can import a roster without uploading it to a cloud AI service.
Use only information your organisation permits on your device. Keep client details to what you need for planning, and check workplace rules before enabling Calendar sharing, using Maps or saving a backup with a provider.
RosterEase is a personal planner, not a clinical record system. We do not claim healthcare compliance or approval for a particular workplace. Suitability also depends on device security, permitted use and your organisation's requirements.
